Resources
Women Ministries ECC Website
The Women Ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church website
is a great resource that has options to download and/or order information
and resources. You can find out how to build a bandage roller; when
the next Ministry Coach training is; links to AVA, Triennial, &
WM Annual Project; news from SIM’s; subscribe to inSpirit;
become a Friend of Women Ministries… anything you want to
know or do is at your finger tips. Give it a try – you will
love it. Check it out at: www.covchurch.org/women.
inSpirit Magazine
This quarterly publication is filled with information, inspiration,
insight into life, letters from missionaries, articles from women
clergy, book reviews. It is a great addition to any library. When
inSpirit was recently given as a birthday gift to a woman who is
not very involved in the Covenant her response was, “This
is just what I needed. I am not in a Bible study right now and this
is perfect.” At $12 a year (4 issues) or $22 for two years
(8 issues) this is a great gift for all women. Let’s see how
many subscriptions we can have from the NWC. Subscribe by calling
(774) 907-3332 or online at: http://www.covchurch.org/women/inspirit-magazine.
Ministry Coaches
Wendy Anderson, Heidi Broberg, Christi Pease and Toni Schwabe are
available to come to your church as a coach to help you revitalize,
update, train and equip your leadership team. Give one of them a
call or an e-mail and they will help arrange a meeting. If you want
to work with them, they will partner with you for a year. The only
expense to you is mileage and any resources that you may need. An
honorarium is appreciated but optional.

Coordinator’s Summit
Leadership training is vital to begin a thriving ministry of women
or revitalize women ministries in your local church. We have been
providing this training for 9 years and many churches have been
encouraged to move ahead and make some changes to help their ministry
affect even more women in their church and community. It takes
about 4 to 5 hours - more if more networking happens! You will
learn about what it means to be a leader, how to write a vision
and a mission statement, the ABC’s of WM (Assess, Build
and Confirm), and forming a leadership team. Women have said that
they have been able to use this material in all areas of the church.
Give any of the coaches a call or e-mail to set up a summit. How
can we expect younger women or women new to ministry to lead without
some equipping? The cost is $10 per participant for materials
and coach expenses plus mileage. If this cost is prohibitive,
this can be discussed at the time of scheduling.
Recognition Award
Honor the women who serve women ministries in your congregation.
A newly designed Recognition Award pin is now available through
the WM office in Chicago. It is a sterling silver replica of the
WM logo; both beautiful and historic. This is a perfect gift for
the women of your congregation. When you request this award pin
you will receive an application and instructions for a brief ceremony
that may be used when presenting this award. Contact Marcia wmc@covchurch.org.
Speakers
Amy Hagberg: She is from Buffalo Covenant Church. Amy is a Christian
author and speaker. Her mission is to help others lead satisfying
lives in a hectic and fragmented world. For more information visit
her website: www.amyhagberg.com.
We like to list speakers that you have found exceptional and
inspirational. Please send their names and contact information,
to Christi Pease. If appropriate we will post them for all to
use.
Bible Studies
Do you have Bible studies you would like to share with other churches?
We are working on a library for video studies that churches would
be willing to lend to sister churches. If you are looking for
a particular study contact Christi Pease so she can do the networking
for you.
