Why do we need the Mission Friends Initiative?

We are now a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural Church that brings fresh opportunities and challenges for ministry. The Northwest Conference wants to offer the best we can to our churches as together we call our communities to Christ.

Contributions from Mission Friends will help us finance ministry opportunities that giving from our churches does not cover.

The initiative will support special training events for pastors and lay leaders, ministry to children, youth and families, church planting efforts, and mission development to help Conference churches become healthy and missional.

Each year our ministries get more complex and varied. The Mission Friends initiative will enable us to build on the legacy of ministry through the Covenant Churches of the Northwest Conference long into the future.

Why now?

For 125 years, the Northwest Conference has supported the ministry of our churches through funding from church giving. As we address new opportunities and realities, we are determined to grow the ministry to meet the growing needs of the local church. We recognize that our success will largely depend on the prayers and generosity of individuals like you.
